We have had a very busy but fun weekend. It all started Thursday night which was Kevin's 29th birthday. Brock was really excited to give Kevin his card and gift. He also was insistent that we have birthday cake so even though I really wasn't planning on having cake until his party on Saturday, I whisked him up to the store and let him pick out a cake for Daddy. My Mom and Dad came over on short notice and helped us eat it.
Saturday was filled with fun. We had Brock's summer time pictures taken (pictures to come later) then out to eat at Mimi's...yummy! The afternoon was filled with swimming with cousins and eating and celebrating Daddy's birthday.
I love summer evenings like we had tonight. Easy and relaxed. We went over to my parents house for dinner and playing. Brock played baseball and basketball in their pretty and shady backyard. Papa even let Brock play with a very old and special toy train.
I am looking forward to this week. Even though I have a busy week at work Brock gets to stay home all week with Daddy! I think they are going to meet up with some church friends tomorrow at the splash pad. Brock will like that. He loves being with his Daddy!
